Ryan Sands began his musical journey in 2012 and is working to become one of the top on-call musicians.
He began his formal training at Neighborhood Music School at the early age of 5. Then his formative years at Educational Center of the Arts. Expanding his gifts and creativity he enrolled at Manhattan School of Music's Pre-College Division. It was at these institutions that he learned the fundamental musical values. Ryan would then go on to continue his musical education at New England Conservatory earning his Bachelors as the lead drummer for NEC's Jazz Orchestra and multiple ensembles. He obtained his Master's from Manhattan School of Music.
As an active working musician, Ryan has worked with Geoffrey Keezer, Phil Markowitz, Jimmy Bruno, Zach Brock, Tamir Hendleman, John Escreet and Christian Sands.
Currently, Ryan leads his own bands and serves as the drummer for the New York based Jazz Collective, Altus.
